Planning a big event is a task that can seem gargantuan in scope. From creating the invitations to securing the venue to getting catering - the list goes on. Printing companies will play a huge role in the event planning, because you’ll undoubtedly need a lot of printed materials, from posters and flyers for advertising to the invitations themselves, all of which we can help you with. One oft neglected element of event planning is the tickets; people have paid to access your event, and they need some way of showing it. What does a good ticket look like, and how can you spice yours up?

Information

Depending on what kind of event you’re holding, you might want to include a wide variety of information on the ticket itself. Most practically, you’ll want the date of the event, as well as its location and name. The event name should be included prominently on the ticket, in the largest font; date and time can be included in a similar but smaller font. You may also want to have a ticket number on the ticket, in the case that you host raffles or door prizes for ticket holders. Events with different classes of ticket, like VIP, can include this information on the ticket as well, though there are some clever ways of coding this without displaying the letters “VIP” prominently. You might also include an email address and contact number where ticket holders can get ahold of you if they have any questions.

Images

There’s no reason your ticket shouldn’t look as good as your event; in fact, a good looking ticket might end up on the fridge of your attendees, which is free marketing anytime someone sees it and says “Hey, that looks interesting, what is it?”. The image you choose shouldn’t span the whole ticket, because you’ll want some free space where you can put relevant text; the image should, of course, be relevant to your event. You might not have an image like that at the ready, but that’s no problem; our graphic design team can create a beautiful picture for you that will fit perfectly in the span of your ticket.

Coding

One clever way of distinguishing certain tickets from others is to use colour coding and other coding. For example, your regular tickets might feature purple or red prominently, while your VIP tickets could feature black. VIP tickets could also have special foil gold font, or other features that mark it as being VIP without the ticket taker having to look for a specific designation. This is incredibly useful, because it speeds up the pace of ticket taking, and reduces line ups and clutter at your event.

An event should look well thought out from start to finish, so tickets are an important consideration; you want your attendees to feel like Charlie opening the chocolate bar, blown away by the feel and look of the ticket, in awe that they get to go to your event. Spice it up!
